I return the system. I was very disappointed when it arrived and I realized the phones were not hands free. I must have loud phones. The webpage is a bit misleading as the phones are very similar to all the other phones VTech makes and the ones in my system that I replace. It would be nice if the lack of this feature was emphasized in some way. Instead, I buy three individual phones without a base. I did a test and it turned out that contrary to VTech propaganda the newer CS6409 phone works fine with my old base. My old base is not in the list of bases required for CS6409, but both work great together. If I had known that, I would have saved myself the hassle and the hefty return shipping costs - almost 20% of the system cost!
