They work but are different than expected.
Most figure eight fasteners (at least the one I use) are the same size on both sides and fit 1/2" or 9/16" holes. They come in a variety of sizes and appear to be designed for use with a metric drill. I used the smaller side for the cabinet frame and had to use a 5/8" drill bit. The other side didn't match any of the drill bits in my toolbox. If you don't know how to use these fasteners, check out YouTube. for tutorial -Videos on aft brackets or aft attachments.
