I ended up returning another device that I had previously bought. It was a really great, versatile, solid setup, but it didn't meet all my needs. So I sent it back and started looking for rigs again. I just stumbled upon this one for $6. Stupidly cheaper than the original I had. I shrugged and thought it was $6, wasn't expecting much. Anyway, it would be a fallback. (sighs) I'm so glad I took the risk. How can something so ridiculously cheap (for the price) be so damn good and well made? It is made of durable plastic. Can withstand a fairly large payload. It has four 1/4" threaded slots and three built in cold shoe slots giving me plenty of room and room to add extensions. Flat brackets, Y brackets and the like. Easily attaches to my tripod with a 1/4" screw mount. Fits right and true. Again, it has room for my flashlights, mics, field monitor, and an extra phone holder. $6. Love this setup and still can not believe that I found it at the price I bought it for. I believe that at the time of writing this review, ie a few weeks after receiving it, the price could go up. But I highly recommend this plugin. I strongly recommend this facility.
