After installation and testing, bad connections were found in the cable routing. I installed a different connector on one end and it showed that more pins were connected. We work on the other end of the cable - install a few more connectors and try to make a good connection. The problem is that the pins bend when they hit the wire insulation and go to the side rather than going through it to make contact with the wire. At various attempts, some mated and one or two contacts left unmated, while other attempts resulted in most of the contacts being bent. If you look at the end of the connector after crimping, you can see that the pins are bent to tilt away from the center, allowing passage of the cable. In the end I gave up and went back to the standard connection, which works without any problems. I also use a good quality crimping tool. It's difficult to get the right light in the picture, but if you look closely you can see how some of the pins tilt to the right as they go down. It's not from the camera's point of view, but the pens do. Some go straight to the cable, while others step aside and bypass the cable. Couldn't connect all the pins, tried crimping fast and slow, finally gave up trying to use them. Tried more than three, all without success.
