I bought the universal mobile phone holder iVoler with double clip. I bought this product specifically because it doesn't have a gel pad and only mounts on the windshield. It uses a suction cup and has strong suction. The long arm is VERY stiff but still flexible enough to position it the way I want and still supports the phone's weight in every position I've tried. The dual clamp works well and the tension was strong enough to support the weight of several different phones I've tried without slipping or falling. The downside here is that the clips grab the sides of the phone. If you have a phone with side buttons, the phone must be positioned so that even the double clips do not press the buttons. When setting up the phone, I make sure the clips are down because my side buttons are up. Aside from that, I have another phone with buttons on both sides that needs to be attached quickly. Does exactly what it says. and worked fine for me. I just had to be careful with my buttons. Recommended for those who want to avoid those gel pads and just mount their phone on the windshield.
