Review on Devonshire K 394 4 CP 2 Handle Widespread Bathroom by Mark Hamblin

This valve looks great in my half bath with all the shiny brass fixtures. But after 7 1/2 months I'm not that happy anymore. I purchased a KOHLER K-394-4-PB Devonshire Widespread Basin Faucet. by Amazon Prime on October 3, 2016. I installed it on a Kohler pedestal sink and it replaced a similar non-Kohler faucet that was rusting. It looks good and worked fine until about a month ago. After dinner with a few guests the next day, I noticed that the cold water valve was still turning on and off properly and moving about 45 degrees. However, the hot water valve must be turned 90 degrees to stop the water flow. My installer said I had to order the part from Kohler and that the stop was plastic which one of the guests could over-twist and damage the stop. The handle now rests against the back wall to block the flow of hot water - it looks awful.
