I had two SportDog 10Rs. The first one failed within the first few months but was very effective on my barking dog so I just bought another one which lasted 4 years before the screen started to fail. Everything about the SportDog and Petsafe is identical except for the strap and branding. In fact, both companies are owned by Radio Systems Corp., so their level of service and warranty should be the same. I personally like the PetSafe nylon band better than the SportDog, it's much less noticeable. PetSafe is cheaper right now, almost a $20 difference for me if you also factor in the sales tax I didn't have to pay by buying a branded PetSafe collar instead of a SportDog. If you don't agree with these two, just go with the cheaper one because you really can't go wrong with either.
