Our dog is an Aussie/Pit mix and she kept barking. When a 85 kg dog barks all day, the neighbors don't appreciate it. After putting this collar on him, he was very wary of what he had just received, but he barked loudly and was shocked. After that, the barking stopped completely. Within 2 weeks we can let him out without him and he doesn't bark. I really like it and am not a fan of shock training but when nothing else works you have to resort to it and this product made the process very easy.

I LOVE THIS BARK COLLAR! It has three different settings, one that learns your dog's resistance to impact and the other where you naturally choose the strength of the impact. I had two SportDog 10Rs. The first one failed within the first few months but was very effective on my barking dog so I just bought another one which lasted 4 years before the screen started to fail. Everything about the SportDog and Petsafe is identical except for the strap and branding. In fact, both companies are owned by Radio Systems Corp., so their level of service and warranty should be the same. Unfortunately the reviews are not grouped by the specific model to which they relate. We have been using the model from 40 lbs with 2 Great Danes and a Maltese for over 5 years without any problems. (Yes, it looks big in Maltese :) I see there are MANY competing products now, but this is the only one I can find with automatic progressive correction.
