Unfortunately the reviews are not grouped by the specific model to which they relate. We have been using the model from 40 lbs with 2 Great Danes and a Maltese for over 5 years without any problems. (Yes, it looks big in Maltese :) I see there are MANY competing products now, but this is the only one I can find with automatic progressive correction. Each time it charges up, it starts at the lowest level of correction and only increases to the level needed to stop the barking, then goes down one level on its own. No guessing which level to set, no random overly high retracement levels. We've worn and replaced the collars and replaced the batteries on the original units but they still work great. Note. This model with a plastic collar is also sold as the SportDOG 10R.
