I had an electric where you just pushed a button and opened the jar for you, but there was no 'off' button so if hit in the utensil drawer it would start. and I couldn't turn it off or close it, then it stopped working. i hated it So I tried this guide. I really like it! No manual or batteries required. It's a little fiddly, as you have to turn the handle in the opposite direction to what we're used to (counterclockwise instead of clockwise) to open the can, but it doesn't require much force to do so. Don't think this is the best for chronic arthritis but it will definitely work for mild cases. It definitely makes the job quick and easy for me.
