This is a great kitchen tool. It's easy to use, has built-in finger guards, and extra-sharp blades to slice apples with ease. It is convenient to hold it by the plastic handle, and then the rubberized element is inserted into the plastic so that the hand does not slip off. I'm sure you might as well vote for pear or pepper, but I haven't done that yet. When you get to the base of the apple, simply pull it back and toss the core into the bin. Easy to clean and I haven't had any durability issues. It feels like it's going to take a long time.
