While this plug can technically connect to Echo Plus as a hub, it cannot monitor power consumption when Echo Plus is used as a hub. This is not made clear in the product description - see below. The only reason I chose this connector over another like Amazon's is that it has power monitoring and can use the Plus as a hub. I want a refund for 2 forks I bought with an incorrect description but it's not worth paying shipping to get a refund. For reference, here is the product description regarding Echo Plus and power monitoring: Works with Alexa for voice control (hub required, Alexa device and hub sold separately). REQUIRED: Echo Plus/Almond 3/Almond+/Almond 2015Zigbee HA 1.2 and easy 1 minute setup Free Almond app for iOS and Android; also controllable via a standard web browser. Note that it says "NEEDS::Echo Plus" with the requirements in all caps, but it should say "DEFINITION FUNCTIONS DO NOT WORK WITH ::Echo Plus".
