My 6 year old loves this style of shoe. We even took away his last pair because he refused to wear any other shoes. But 6 months passed and I decided to try again. My son likes them very much. The strap can run behind the Achilles tendon to keep the shoe in place or move forward to allow you to easily slip the shoes on and off. They are light and generally comfortable, but if my son wears them for too long and does too much (running, sports) he can get a blister on his foot. But for general use they are good. Easy to put on and take off
