I thought my onboard sound card was dead and contacted the computer manufacturer to see if they had something compatible I could install to replace it. I was told that I was basically wasting my time and money. They didn't have anything that would work and I had to either buy a new computer or spend $150 troubleshooting it. Luckily I found this little gem on Amazon and it worked great for less than $8! Love it!
