later Just a reminder for those who have trouble melting ice. This ice bucket will retain ice better if you put it in the freezer before use. It's not required, but it's an option. The most important thing to note is that ice made in a countertop ice maker will leave the bin at 27 degrees and will become damp. It melts very quickly in any ice bucket; Ice from a regular freezer will last longer. Convenient upper compartment, cool look and large size - I liked that. I found some decent pliers to replace the stock pliers that come with the kit. I like a big bucket so I don't bother filling it. I was surprised by the easy storage in the lid. I can put the top on the bottom when not in use and store bar tools and art in the case. I keep it in sight and out of the way until needed. This is a great buy for less than $30 so I would look for a better buy.
