Review on 💧 Aquasana Brushed Filtration System: 3-Stage Powerful Water Filter by Adam Matthews

I loved this system (purchased May 2016) until the plastic case broke under pressure without warning and flooded the house. So well-filtered, pristine water still messes everything up, as does unfiltered city water. Definitely a plastic defect. It seems solid, but it broke right around the bottom edge and in the middle where the injection molded nipple is. After this happened, I noticed other bug reports, just like mine. The plastic filter housing breaks without warning, even after years of use. Since I already have extra filters and everything is already installed under the cabinet, I decided to put an automatic shut-off system under the filter blocks and behind the fridge and get a replacement filter housing from aquasana. Called Aquasana and they want you to create an account, log into Water for Life, put you on hold and finally try to get you to pay the shipping cost to send a replacement plastic case. The representative said it was "no guarantee" because I did not purchase directly from Aquasana, create an account (at the time of purchase) or subscribe to Water for Life (at the time of purchase). I just bought it from Revain, there was no way to find out about accounts or water for life. After 20 minutes of waiting they finally agreed to my request not to pay for shipping but it was a 'one off' and if anything ever goes wrong (flooding my house again?) with the unit in the future I will have it pay for everything yourself. No apologies or concerns as to the nature of the error. SO - AVOID AQUASANA PRODUCTS (AND/OR INSTALL DEVICES TO PREVENT WATER LEAKS)! As others have said. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
