Faulty design - breaks

I really like the water quality of this device. I am happy with it since I bought it. Since then, however, the filter housings have broken twice. I installed it in the cupboard under the sink in the kitchen and the filter housings were torn twice. The first time it happened when I was on vacation. I returned home to a nearly flooded basement, I was lucky I turned off the water supply before leaving home otherwise I have no idea what would have happened to my basement. DOES NOT OFFER 0.50 gpm nominal flow. Not well designed.

I can confirm the reviewer from 7/20/17 - SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. I installed AQ-5300 3-stg. myself (Bachelor and Masters in Mechanics with 40 years experience) and immediately noticed a very low flow. I measured and found the actual flow rate to be 0.25 gpm at 55 psi supply pressure. The device is rated at 0.50 gpm at 20 psi inlet pressure. called the. THE PLASTIC HOUSING OF THE BLACK FILTER BREAKS UNDER PRESSURE - THE HOUSE FLOODED!

I loved this system (purchased May 2016) until the plastic case broke under pressure without warning and flooded the house. So well-filtered, pristine water still messes everything up, as does unfiltered city water. Definitely a plastic defect. I've used several under sink water filtration systems in the past (6) but these days I don't have the skills to install these things. two that have leaked a lot and water damage is no fun.
