I've used several under sink water filtration systems in the past (6) but these days I don't have the skills to install these things. two that have leaked a lot and water damage is no fun. I read the reviews on the 3 speed Aquasana and then called the company for more information and also to ask for parts. They were more than willing to help me with an installation that needed to be completely different from all my other systems. I wanted to go under my kitchen sink into my dry basement with a drain, install the system there, and run the hose through the sink cabinet and to the faucet. They said we could send you another 8ft of pipe for free. The photos are pretty much the setup. A picture really says more than a thousand words. FIRST. Install the faucet and MAKE SURE to install the faucet with hose FIRST and insert the hose into the sink hole where you will be installing the faucet. this saves a lot of time and scratches. under the sink. All you have to do is put washers and nuts on the pipe and tighten ONE nut on the sink. Now this part is done. Then find a place to mount the device, insert two screws into the wall if possible on a stand, or use wall brackets if a stand isn't available. Then put the filters on, twist them a quarter turn and latch, to remove them twist a quarter turn and they fall off. Now the hardest part took me the entire 30 minutes to install. From my 1/2" copper tubing I used a shark bite adapter and installed a check valve (30 seconds). Tubing into the hole until it seats or snaps. Now that side is complete. On the other side (outlet side) get a 1 /4" hose. I don't know why they can't all be the same size, I think it has something to do with the fittings on the faucet. Insert the 1/4" hose the same way you did the inlet side... and you're done, turn the water on and check for leaks. If not, run for 30 minutes and it's ready to go. Mine is about 4 months old, doesn't leak and works exactly how I wanted it. From the basement to the sink directly above. Check valve shown, battery warning compartment, 1/2" pipe for inlet side, 1 4" -Pipe for outlet side, and be sure to secure the pipe with a loop to keep the flow from kinking. You can get an 8s radius stabilizer to loop the hose and screw it to the wall to keep it from 'wiggling' ' when the water is turned on.
