I ended up returning extensions from another company and trying this one and I'm so happy I did. There is a definite difference in quality, this one is much better and I am assuming it is perfectly legal sterling silver. The shower has held onto my bracelet beautifully, not rusting or tarnishing, and more importantly, it stays plugged in! It's nice not having to worry about losing the bracelet all the time.
