The lens is great in some aspects and terrible in others. Choose this one if your budget is low and you don't have better options Pros: Great price, you can't get much less than $28 for a 1.7 lens again, insane for the price, gives great bokeh build quality, surprisingly all-metal lens , feels good Easy to focus, Ring rotates easily and holds position Excellent low-light performance, again thanks to the aperture Cons: VERY soft edges, so what, what's not directly in the center of the frame is blurry. The vignette is very noticeable. Does not come with rear lens cap. On the one hand, it's a guess No protective coatings on the lens, so it's very susceptible to scratches and damage No software to integrate with the camera, so the camera needs to be set to "lens-less shutter" what is a bit awkward. All in all a pretty cool lens for the price and good for portraits and center lens stuff but not much more so very prone to scratches and damage. There's no software to integrate with the camera, so you have to set the camera to "lensless shutter", which is pretty annoying. in the middle of the lens, but no more and is therefore very sensitive to scratches and damage. No camera integration software, so you have to set the camera to "trigger without a lens", which is quite annoying. center of the lens, but no more.
