I have over 35 years of experience in IT and have been playing with computer gadgets all of the time. This HDMI over WiFi dongle is one of the few devices that works out of the box! IMPORTANT NOTE: For this to work you need H/W and B/W support for Mirascreen technology. While Windows 10 supports Mirascreen natively, you'll also need a laptop to support it. Just google "Mirascreen" and you'll find what you need. My MS Surface Pro 4 supports Mirascreen both ways, so all I had to do was plug the dongle into an old Samsung TV I still have and select "Look for an external display" in the display settings. Another note: as with ANY external monitor, the image (full screen or windowed) you get on your laptop may or may not be scaled the same on the monitor. You may be able to adjust the TV picture using the Mirascreen settings, but I haven't bothered to try that. I tried playing an HD MP4 video I have on my SP4 and it worked great! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED but make sure you check your laptop's Mirascreen support BEFORE you buy this!
