My husband is a nurse and is constantly walking down the hall. He works with all kinds of equipment and in all sorts of situations you wouldn't think a nurse would work, like helping patients shower or making patients throw up all of his shoes and gowns. So trust me when I say he really likes non-slip soles in wet environments. He can't stop raving to his colleagues that if you need to wash up those suction cups and hand dry them, you can definitely do it quickly. And now that he works in mental health for children and elderly patients, he really appreciates the uniqueness of toe-stepping, especially after hours when kids are staying up stomping his feet. or when an elderly patient walks over their toes in a wheelchair. or when he has to settle a dispute between teenage patients and gets literally stepped on toes in the process. or when a patient tries to slam the door with his foot still in the door, to name just a few months before the fabric finally started to wear out. The only thing we wish we could do is offer a take back/recycle program so that all metal parts from used shoes can be recycled and used in new shoes instead of going to landfill.
