I had an issue with my 2013 Altima SV air conditioner that wouldn't cool when the temperature was above 85 degrees. The air conditioning came on weak and only cooled when the car was moving, blowing the air warm when it was idling. Below 85 degrees it cools well, but definitely not as it should. Finally tired of the hot car in the Florida sun and decided to fix it. I hooked up some AC distribution gauges and got readings of 80(L) and 135(H) which gave me an indication of a possible stuck valve. Returned the refrigerant to a local store and replaced the valve. It is easily accessible under the car and is held in place by just one retaining ring. Pulled the vacuum out for an hour and let it sit under vacuum for an hour to make sure it didn't leak. I filled it with about 18 ounces of R134 and now we have ice cold air. I've had AC on max for the last two years and now I have to turn it down to medium.
