I was concerned about leaving my bike and car mounted bike rack unattended. This simple passive buckle strap ensures my trunk is now securely attached to my car. It was very easy to install on my Honda Fit hatchback and now I'm sure powerful tools are required to remove the bike from the car. Worst case scenario I think I would go to a bike chained to a stand, the stand attached to the car and everything hanging down but nothing stolen! As previously mentioned, it takes some serious tools to cut a passive lock's strap, but this will certainly deter casual thieves.
