PSA: Buy a quality coolant hose! Read please!

Please read before you buy! First, I like this technique. It's simple, easy to install, delivers amazing aftermarket sound, and just plain solid recording. However, the kit has a major flaw that nearly stalled my car for a couple of weeks before I discovered the problem. The kit includes a flexible coolant hose that replaces the rigid line that connects the throttle body to the water manifold directly on the driver's side of the engine. The problem I had was that short length of hose was of such poor quality that it allowed air into my cooling system and caused an overheating problem. At first I thought it might be a faulty thermostat so I replaced the thermostat and completely flushed the system. I drove the car for three days with no problems. On Monday morning I went back to work and I didn't have a heater in the car and coolant was spilling out of the expansion tank. Decided to go to Advance Auto and rent a coolant pressure gauge. I hooked it up to the car and found that the specified length of coolant hose was literally gushing coolant and air bubbles off the ends of the hose from the threads inside the hose itself. The clamps were tightened, the leak was not coming from the fittings but from a poor quality hose. I've replaced the hose, blown all the air out of the heater core, flushed, refilled, checked again and still no other problem and it's been about 3 weeks. Please do yourself a favor and go to an parts store and buy a $2 piece of good quality heater hose so you don't ruin your engine. I don't understand why this company made an already cheap component so cheap.
