This is NOT an upgrade of the previous model. It costs more but you get less. I had the previous model for a few years and was happy, but the parts were worn out. If you can't find an older model, consider buying a Barker bag instead of this new Thetford. I can only think that the people giving positive feedback on this device have not used anything else. The doors in the new Thetford are only hinged with thin pieces of plastic that have to flex and won't hold up in normal use. One of them started splitting on first use. The garden hose has no fitting to flush the bag, so the user must stand over the open hole and hold the hose or dangling it in a dirty tank - either way, the user is exposed to sewer fumes and flushing is ineffective. . The handle doesn't fold, so it always sticks out and takes up more space, and the plastic is flimsy and brittle. The bayonet fitting didn't work well with the connector I've been using for many years and without modification it was most likely leaking.
