Suitable for small clamps. The only thing that bothers me is that the locking lever is very sloppy and loose compared to all my old vises. In fact, they're so loose that when you let go, the locking bar inside the grip (the bar that actually pushes down on the adjustment screw) falls out of the groove it's in. I don't think this should happen with normal usage.
