Good, but not like before.

Suitable for small clamps. The only thing that bothers me is that the locking lever is very sloppy and loose compared to all my old vises. In fact, they're so loose that when you let go, the locking bar inside the grip (the bar that actually pushes down on the adjustment screw) falls out of the groove it's in. I don't think this should happen with normal usage.

Worst Case: Clamps

I ordered 2 of these for a woodworking project. They really held the wood with a little fuss and adjustments to get the job done. They're not really designed for contractor work or complex projects, but are good for smaller home projects. If you have a thick desk, order a larger size as 2 inches will not securely hold the wood. Even if you work with tight tolerances, the clamp design gets in the way.

These clamps are great for a variety of clamping jobs

These clamps are great for a variety of clamping jobs. They are small and light, exceptionally strong and very durable. They can clamp any material up to 2" thick, are quick to remove, and can re-clamp the same thickness without having to readjust the thickness. Ideal for the machinist or carpenter. I've been using the larger ones for years and am completely satisfied and know I'll get the same great performance from them. No damage with self-adjusting swivel pads, they work great!
