The factory harmonic balancer failed so I ordered this Dorman to replace it. Came and about a week later I installed it (the store was reserved). Received the car back and about a day later the Check Engine light came on along with codes P0300, P0301 and P0305. I figured maybe the crankshaft position sensor was bad as the balancer was bad so I replaced it. No luck, still giving out codes at random times. Replaced spark plugs, wires and ignition coil within a few weeks (trying to isolate problem rather than throwing away all the parts at once), same results. The car worked fine for about a day then start throwing codes again. I took it back to the store, fiddled with it for a few days and couldn't find the cause. They sent it back to me, I double checked all my work, worked fine for a few days and then started coding again. I took it back to the store, they had it for over a week and finally put the balancer output on the oscilloscope and for some reason there is a bad signal to the crank sensor. Oh, and now it's too late to bring him back. So I lost the price of it, plus another balancer, plus a few hundred bucks for a job trying to diagnose the problem. Dissatisfied!
