Hard to believe wires can be thinner but this part has lasted 10 years and a new one is a steal! When I couldn't open the sunroof, I simply pushed back the tailgate molding, carefully reaching down to avoid burning my hand on the bulbs (or disconnecting the battery if you want, or simply turning off the courtesy light) and unplugged it the green plug. new one to release the tailgate, then press to remove the old part, it just pops out and the new one pops back into place, put the tailgate molding back in place and you're done! Almost anyone can do this repair, and no tools are even required!
