Review on πŸ”Œ MikroTik SXTsq 5 ac - High-Powered 5GHz Dual Chain Integrated CPE/Backbone with AC Support and Gigabit Ethernet (RBSXTsqG-5acD-US) by Paul Haswood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not for beginners but once you know what it's like it's great value!

things that work. I've been using Mikrotik for about ten years and still have 10 year old routers running. They are based on Linux and can be programmed to do whatever you want. Do you need 10 virtual WiFi hotspots with 10 DHCP servers in 10 different subnets via proxy? Yes, perhaps. Public and private hotspots, no problem. Custom firewall rules for each VLAN and bandwidth control, yes. Sometimes things don't work out as expected and you break your head. But it's nice to have unlimited options unlike SOHO.

Pros
  • SXTsq 5 ac retains a 16dBi antenna like SXT 5 ac our previous model, but the antenna design has been improved and the physical size has been greatly reduced - SXTsq is twice as thin
