I bought these stainless steel straws to use a little less plastic. I travel a lot, so I always have at least 2 cups of water and/or coffee with me. My teeth are very temperature sensitive and straws help a lot with that, but I hate throwing away plastic straws. These straws fit perfectly in my 32oz leakproof mugs and are also great for use in my small to-go mugs. They rattle a little in my stainless steel cups, but not too bad. Note that straws will get hot when used with hot beverages such as coffee. They are easy to clean with the brush provided, and when it wears out, art store pipe cleaners work just as well. I am very happy with these straws and am now giving them away along with personalized coffee mugs.
