Tailgate stays will NOT fit 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee as the name and description suggest. The bolt diameter is too small and the threads do not engage. I had to unscrew the old end bolts and put them on the new pistons for them to work properly. However, this did not last long. I bought it in January and in May the first section of the lift leaked hydraulic fluid and it failed. The second failed after a few months. DO NOT buy them. Poor quality and false advertising.
