Most of my 15-17" laptops have center feet. This means you have 4 "legs" that actually make contact with the countertop at the corners. However, larger laptops usually have center legs. A series of protrusions that make contact with the work surface in the center of the laptop to provide stability on a larger laptop. Although this product claims to support a 17 inch laptop, it keeps shaking when keys are pressed on the edges of the keyboard due to the center legs creating a wobbling effect. The construction is EXCELLENT. If I were using a 12-14 inch laptop this would be my choice. Not only is the construction excellent, but the customer service is top notch. I will definitely buy from the company again if the need arises.
