Wrap the connector harness tightly in a heat shield using appropriate heat resistant tape. Next, take your boot insulation and wrap it in thermal insulation material just enough to use a stapler with stainless steel staples. The bottom line is that the cuff slides over the wiring harness, presses onto the connector for your ICP, and slides the cuff with the outer sleeve over the connector and sensor. Voila, three layers of thermal barrier will protect your investment and keep you from doing it for a long time.
