Definitely a lot of braids with this fork. However, you should definitely buy a Ford ICP sensor and not waste your time on anything else. It cost $150 from the dealer and was in stock. Remember to make sure the old ICP o-ring came out with the sensor. If there is oil in the spark plug, replace the stem. As for bulletproof with protection, I would like to give some advice to owners of 03-04. Either buy it or find someone with a "spark plug boot boot". You only need one. Then get a piece of "Exhaust Heat Shield" that looks like a thermal barrier on foil with cotton batting inside. Non-flammable. Wrap the connector harness tightly in a heat shield using appropriate heat resistant tape. Next, take your boot insulation and wrap it in thermal insulation material just enough to use a stapler with stainless steel staples. The bottom line is that the cuff slides over the wiring harness, presses onto the connector for your ICP, and slides the cuff with the outer sleeve over the connector and sensor. Voila, three layers of thermal barrier will protect your investment and keep you from doing it for a long time. Added photos to see the trunk with the outer screen slide right over the wiring harness AND the sensor once connected. Oh, solder and shrink your wire connections too.
