The power supply included with this hard drive has interchangeable outlet adapters. The instructions list 6 different adapters but only those intended for UK and European sockets. This product will not work out of the box in the US without a UK to US or Europe to US power adapter. You may see other reviews on this product complaining about the same issue, but Revain continues to allow this product to be sold in the US. One of their customer service representatives told me that they could not provide a suitable US plug adapter and the only solution was to offer a refund. It seems to me that it would be much easier to just ban this item from sale in the US, but think about it.
