Review on Dot Genie Google Outlet Version by Kyle Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's as minimalist as it gets with the Google Wifi Puck mount.

Amazingly great design. I said the same thing with the original design, but it's really a big improvement. It has all the features I loved about the original Dot Genie design such as: B. Freeing up counter space, keeping extra cables out of sight, access for an Ethernet cable for wire feedback, and the ability to have it in non-surface locations to store the puck. Overall the design has been improved, the washer fits snugly in the bracket, looks tidier and can be positioned on the sides of the socket. I was skeptical when I bought it but decided to give it a try because I have a Google WiFi washing machine that just didn't look the way I wanted with the old design. I have high baseboards and low outlets near the windows, which of course was the best spot for a Google WiFi puck in my living room. I had my doubts about the odd attachment mechanism and didn't think it would be strong enough for the side of my outlet covers. The photos in the listing have socket covers with two screws, but I only have one. But I decided I should give it a try because I was impressed with the original design. I was very surprised when I installed it, it stayed in place and looked much better than before. I'm not criticizing the different design, it's just a big improvement. I still have three washers in other mounts and they have been working great for almost a year now. But a clean look is very alluring.
