Great shears although they are no longer made in the USA (mine were made in Vietnam). Very sharp, cuts effortlessly, easily cuts through paper and fabric. The hard plastic handle is ergonomic and easy to clean, unlike some other scissors with soft rubber handles. The scissor blades are firmly connected by a central screw, which ensures a precise and comfortable cut. (Cheaper scissors are often less tightly knit and tend to loosen over time.) Unlike cheaper scissors, the individual blades of Fiskars scissors are flush with one another across the entire cutting surface of the scissors. New scissors are oiled. You can use isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) to clean the oil (which is also a good way to remove glue or dirt from a scissor blade). Overall recommended ($8 or less = buy in my opinion).
