Living in the Pacific Northwest, we get more rain than we should. My three jackets and powder pants were like sponges, people stood next to me to let the water evaporate. :-) We processed three jackets, two baseball caps and two pairs of gloves in one batch, on a delicate setting. We stopped the washing machine for 10 minutes to soak everything in Granger's Wash and Repel. Then run the washing machine on its normal cycle, including a slow spin. I set the dryer on the lowest setting over the drum with no heat and it ran for an hour with all these items, for the last four to five minutes I put the dryer on high heat - the instructions say dry or iron - but it worked like a champ. . Now water is dripping from these items and I actually put on gloves and dipped my hand in a sink full of water and my hand stayed dry. We will report on the longevity of the treatment but are very impressed for now. There was no discoloration, no displacement, no bleeding. They don't smell or smell like 303 or my homemade beeswax, mineral spirits and turpentine and it was MUCH easier and more economical. Excellent stuff.
