It's a real projector! Fabulous! Seriously, that's a brilliant idea. The beam is very bright but a bit narrow for my taste. I prefer to illuminate what's around me a little more than what's directly in front of me because I walk to and from the grocery store at night. I use a personal shopping cart to which I have attached a velcro light. Unfortunately, the batteries in my old lamp always ran out, so a real treat. I love that this flashlight can be charged via a USB cable that you plug into your computer or a 5V charger. The flashlight was about half full so I went ahead and charged the rest of the way. It hasn't even been a few hours. to stop loading. My cart uses tubing that is significantly smaller in diameter than a bicycle handlebar, but the rubber bands that the light came with fit snugly and securely, but I was still able to easily adjust the light as needed. My only gripe is that it takes two wafer batteries to power the included taillight. I suspect it will last a lot longer than a headlight as its power is very low and it's only there to let drivers see you without blinding you. Don't forget to open the taillight and remove the paper between the batteries. You will not open it with a screw. You simply twist the two black halves and these pieces unscrew from each other with ease. The taillight works by pressing the front of the light. Once for full light, again for fast flashing and again for slower flashing and again for off. The spotlight works similarly, except each subsequent button press gives you a dimmer setting, then blinks, then off. .I love that you can check the remaining power by pressing and holding the headlight's power button for a few seconds and then the headlight will flash a set number of times depending on how much power is left. 10 flashes, all right, fully charged. The headlight also warns you of impending power drain by turning the blue light in the button to red and then turning itself off. It's best not to let it get that low, otherwise battery life will be reduced. Center. The taillight is best placed on the handlebars near the top of the basket, but directed outward, sideways, and backwards. Thus, when crossing a street that is not already illuminated by the headlights of an oncoming car, the driver can see the rear light more easily. In the US, place the tail light on the left side of the handle. In the UK, place the rear light on the right. However, I bought two of these light kits because you never know when you're going to cross a one-way street when traffic is approaching from the opposite direction it normally comes. You can also use two headlights in front to illuminate a larger area. Since I don't like how narrow the spotlight's beam is, I found a clever way to widen the beam without sacrificing too much brightness. Just take the matte tape and stick it on the headlight glass. You get a 30-40% wider beam and it's only slightly dimmer. Do not mount a headlight on the handlebars of a shopping cart as the front of the cart will block the beam when walking and the cart will tip back towards you. Only the taillights should go there. I also liked that the lighting kit comes in a nice hard box with magnetic clasps for long term storage when not installed. The USB cable (included) is easy to use. Simply open the rubber cover of the Micro USB connector (don't tear it off) and plug it in. Oh the LED in the headlight is a Cre LED which is EXTREMELY bright which explains why it only lasts 1-2 hours. , depending on the brightness. DO NOT LOOK INTO THE HEADLIGHTS WITH THE HEADLIGHT ON! Yes, it's damn bright.
