Highly Recommended *EASY* and Reliable Twister Corkscrew! After my originally ten year old screwdriver finally started falling apart, I ordered a replacement. I chose it over other similar products for several reasons. First, the length is 6 inches. The extra length as well as the large ergonomic handle seem to make a noticeable difference in handling and stability in use. 5.5" threaded rod assembly.) *ONLY* modification I would recommend for the Twister: • Either an integrated blade like the original threaded rod; or ─ • Provide a separate foil cutter. (I use a foil cutter now. Foil from another set (as seen in the photo.) Because this corkscrew is very handy and fits easily in kitchen drawers, I use it a lot more than I used to in favor of the expensive bunny ear opener! The second Reason I chose the Twister over another Screwpull ─ Screwpull was acquired from Cuisinart (Don't get me wrong, I love my Cuisinart food processor!) Unfortunately, the result is that the Cuisinart Screwpull is significantly more expensive than before(?) 3 -times more expensive than the Twister!Although originally purchased as a quick replacement, I am so impressed with the quality and ease of use that I find no reason to spend $30 when I am completely satisfied with this product.
