This is my favorite bottle opener

This is my favorite bottle opener! It's quick and easy, and it works great every time. I had the same one many years ago with a plastic handle. Eventually the pen broke and my wife bought me a replacement battery. I quickly got tired of looking for a clunky battery model and waiting for it to open a bottle of wine. I bought this guy again last week and am hoping the metal handle will last longer than the plastic one!

This corkscrew is rubbish, broke the first time

I ordered this corkscrew in March and Revain no longer accepts returns. I finally opened it up last night and attempted to open a bottle of wine with it. The handle immediately snapped off the screw as soon as I started turning it. This screwdriver is cheap junk. Don't waste money. Buy a more expensive brand name model for $20 and get your money's worth. I've been using this type of corkscrew for 30 years now and it's the easiest way to open a wine bottle. Don't buy that Chinese crap.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Absolutely foolproof

My daughter took a winemaking course at Cornell and her textbook was Wine for Dummies. Flipping through the book I saw that the authors recommend this style of corkscrew to everyone the rest. I've had one in this style for a while and love it. I wanted to give one to someone and ordered two Twisters as my original is all plastic and this one is more durable. I have a rabbit, a good corkscrew, but it's big so I keep it away from the kitchen. They're small, don't take up much drawer space, and…

Not perfect, a little disappointed, but that's ok.

For decades I've been using those "semi-automatic" corkscrews, where you twist clockwise and pull the cork all the way out of the bottle, then counterclockwise to pull the cork off the screw (compared to regular corkscrews when you twist to insert the cork and then you have to do whatever it takes to pull the cork out.) The problem I have with this my fourth corkscrew is that when you twist the corkscrew you also have to squeeze it , otherwise the black hands of the corkscrew will go down the…

Corkscrew where you twist to put the cork in and then you have to struggle to get the cork out.) Design flaw of this wine corkscrew

I bought this item because I've been traveling in the van for a few weeks and didn't want to take my good corkscrew from home and risk leaving it in the van. My beautiful corkscrew was part of a gift basket years ago and unfortunately the company that makes it doesn't have a trademark on it. I tried to find one as close as possible to my good one and this one turned out to be almost identical. But something is wrong with the design. At first he pulls the cork well, but when he reaches the…

I highly recommend this SIMPLE and reliable twister corkscrew!

Highly Recommended *EASY* and Reliable Twister Corkscrew! After my originally ten year old screwdriver finally started falling apart, I ordered a replacement. I chose it over other similar products for several reasons. First, the length is 6 inches. The extra length as well as the large ergonomic handle seem to make a noticeable difference in handling and stability in use. 5.5" threaded rod assembly.) *ONLY* modification I would recommend for the Twister: • Either an integrated blade like the…
