I've been using it every day for months after researching the topic of "connected coffee maker" intensively. The 2nd Gen Smarter Coffee Maker is pretty easy to connect to your Wi-Fi network, it uses an ingenious flashing thing that looks like Revane's buttons, only visually. And once it's connected, it's pretty much certainly connected. I've only had a few crashes in the last 3 months and that was due to messing around with the router. The device quickly reconnected to the WiFi and resumed work. So this part is good. Rest? Spring. It's not as difficult as you would like to think. My typical morning coffee is the smallest amount of coffee a machine can brew. 4 cups. The water tank holds about 1.8 times more water. This means you have to refill it every night. Well, that's fine. The filter needs to be cleaned every day, that's to be expected. but then you have to ask yourself. If I have to clean the filter after each use, then I have to refill the water tank after each use. Is it really possible to have coffee on demand from anywhere? The answer is no, unless you plan ahead. So at the end of the day you have a machine that is just a glorified timer. An app timer, a timer that lets you choose how "strong" your coffee is (more on that later), and a timer that lets me "choose how much coffee I want to make" (well) . That funnel above that grinds fresh beans every time you want coffee. The funnel constantly refuses to draw coffee in. I have to shake it once a day to make sure the tunnel is full the next morning. i love coffee LOVE. And a bag of fresh roasted beans is quite expensive and my previous pourover experience was that I had a bag that lasted about 2 weeks. The SMARTER Wifi Gen 2 coffee maker will use so many beans and grind them so coarse (the grind knob shouldn't even exist, it doesn't matter, and on the smallest setting it's still insanely coarse, I haven't tried the coarser setting). but because I'm afraid he just sends whole beans to my filter) that you get through the bag in 3 or 4 days. It would be cheaper for me to walk into a luxury manual coffee maker every day than to use that coffee maker every morning. All these fancy technologies will only create more problems for you. At the moment the thing is on my counter and gathering dust. I could just go back to my old drip machine with a built in timer.
