I live in Florida where dubias is illegal so I was immediately drawn to it. Also, living in the South means hurricane season and I wanted to prepare some kibble for emergencies. It was an instant hit! I was very surprised when my bearded husband (teenager) got used to live bugs. I soaked them well (it takes a good 30 minutes) and left him a few pieces. They're back and they're gone! Was there a few days to see if there are side effects, no! He ate his common bugs very well and preferred none to the other. At the moment I use them as a nice addition to his salads, tossing him a few from time to time to make sure he keeps the flavor. I sincerely think I can just use it as a staple and it won't complain. Whether you have a stubborn beard, need emergency food, or are simply afraid of bugs, this product can easily be converted into a balanced diet!
