We have an 11 foot tall tree. Doesn't sound like much, but it is. It was made to order, so it's HEAVY too. This was our first year of using it and when we had it in the attic together we realized it wasn't the easiest way to store it as each piece is very heavy and two flights of stairs with all of them are crazy We bought three different bases for each of the three tops. This base was second from the bottom (the largest except for the bottom one which is right at the base of the tree). It took a while to find one big enough to support the heavy pole it was made on, but this one is perfect. Very high quality and well made! Easy to fold and store even in season!
