I've had a few pairs of Brooks (mostly the Ghost series) but recently got hooked on them for the first time. I've had two achilles tendon surgeries on my left ankle and always feel tenderness above the heel in the area of the achilles tendon. The dependency is GREAT as the inner heel of the boot sits a little high (with good cushioning) so the outer back of the boot sits lower on my ankle and doesn't put pressure on the Achilles area.
