I used the previous model until it stopped working. It was about a few years. Got this morning and downloaded the podcast. I listen to podcasts while swimming. This helps to pass the time. Daily swimming and cycling are my forms of therapy to keep my body in shape. I am 72 years old. In the last 20 years I have tried many devices and each time the investment usually exceeds a hundred dollars. They only last a few years or so. This one cost less than $40 and the sound was pretty good. You can certainly spend more, but I don't think you can really get anything better and it's an improvement over the previous Tayogo model. Update: It's January 2021 so I've been using it for about ten weeks now. . No problem. If you have long hair, you'll need to tuck it away when you put the headphones in your ears. If you do this carefully, you can clearly hear the sound throughout the swim. For me it's 45 to 50 minutes, six to seven times a week. When you connect it to your computer, delete the old MP3 files and pull the new ones from iTunes. You then close the app and turn off your device. Then you have to make sure that you press the stop/start button until the light goes off so that you don't play MP3 files and drain the battery.
