I use a sleep mask every night to block out any light from the TV and from the Florida sunshine that flows into the bedroom in the early morning. I like this style of mask that has the foam cushioning that contours around your eyes, but this particular sleep mask just wasn’t comfortable enough for keeping it on all night.PROS:(1) The fabric on this sleep mask is extremely soft and has a slippery feel (in a good way).(2) The mask is very well-made, with strong stitching along the ends of the mask where the straps are attached and a binding trim around the edges.(3) The elastic is soft with an easy-to-adjust slider for a good fit.(4) And most importantly, it REALLY BLOCKS OUT ALL LIGHT! Yep, total darkness! Once this mask is in place you’ll feel like you are blind. No light at all seeps in when you have the mask in place securely.CONS:(1) The foam on the lower half, that rests on the cheekbones, feels too heavy during the night. I ended up pulling off the mask partway through the first night because it wasn’t comfortable. I’m not sure why it felt this way…maybe because the foam is thicker and firmer than my other sleep mask with this same design. I had the elastic at the loosest setting that still kept the light out so I don’t think it was too much pressure from the elastic.I tried the mask once more the second night and got the same results. It just wasn’t as comfortable as my other sleep mask, especially when I slept on my side. The foam pressed against my cheekbone and forehead in an uncomfortable way and I removed it after a few hours.OVERALL:This sleep mask is very well-constructed with quality materials. How it feels during the night may depend on the person. Even though I found the foam too heavy as it pushed on my cheekbones, other people may not have the same experience. If you are looking for a well-fitting sleep mask that keeps out all light, this fits the bill. I’m just not sure if you will find it more comfortable than I did.
