After purchasing the Apple Watch 6, I decided to try a different strap as I wasn't sure if the strap that came with it would be as reliable, so I tried the Edimens leather strap. First of all it's made in China and if I knew I wouldn't buy it the leather is very sturdy but it will probably get better over time. The clasps on the watch appear to be plastic and are not yet long enough to determine longevity, but I would expect them to last a year. I like the style of the band that the packaging indicates, they were formed in London.
