Not really usable for its intended purpose
This is a well made tool. However, while the engraved markings are easy to read, so is my digital goniometer, and it's a lot less confusing than the dual dial on this Saker instrument. The secret to compound angles is a folded paper table to convert angle readings into miter saw settings. Even unlaminated, this sheet of paper is easily lost for those of us who don't have a regular need for compound angle cuts, along with the loss of the compound angle function. I returned mine.
